It is usually my first task on a new computer. Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, Adobe Reader, Remove. See ya Adobe!
Although I thoroughly enjoy (and use daily) a number of Adobe products, the Adobe Reader seems to always cause me grief. It’s a huge application, takes memory, and opens PDF’s way too slow.
All I want is to have my PDF files open immediately. Simple. Just open fast.
A few years ago, I discovered a small development company called Foxit Software. They make an excellent PDF viewer called Foxit Reader that is ad-free, super fast, and reliable. Try it out. It’s free.
